Veuve Clicquot celebrates 250 years aboard the Belmond Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

Collector Culture

To mark its two and a half centuries of savoir-faire, Veuve Clicquot has conceived an exceptional journey with Belmond on board its mythic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, Belmond Train

Two legends merge for an exclusive journey from Reims to Venice.

From Sunrise to Sunset

The journey named “Voyage Solaire”, a name inspired by the signature sunburst yellow colour of Veuve Clicquot labels since 1877, will commence at Sunrise in Reims. Prior to boarding the train an immersive tour of the Veuve Clicquot cellars will be given followed by a sample of ‘La Grande Dame” with Cellar Master Didier Mariotti and an exclusive lunch paired with the Maison’s cuvées in the labyrinthine limestone tunnels.

The adventure and refinement then continue on board the legendary train in a timeless atmosphere with a champagne inspired afternoon tea served in the cabins. Immersed in an authentic décor elevated by art deco details, travellers will then enjoy a 4 course dinner created by Jean Imbert  in one of the dining cars paired with exceptional Veuve Cliquot cuvées, before the magic deepens with a themed party in Bar car ‘3674’.

Awakening (hopefully not too hungover) from the dramatic daybreak, travellers will be given the opportunity to stretch their legs at Innsbruck station before tucking into breakfast, whilst gazing at the Alpine scenery.  The arrival in Venice, planned for mid afternoon, will see a water taxi transport guests to the Cipriani hotel on Giudecca island. After a last cocktail on St Mark’s Square the magical adventure culminates with an enthralling gala dinner at the hotel’s historic Granaries of the Republic.

An art de vivre ,we can certainly get on board with!
