Picasso’s “La Fenetre ouverte” to be offered at auction for the first time
The painting which will be auctioned at Christie’s and is a seminal work from Pablo Picasso’s Surrealist period has a pre-sale estimate of £14,000,000–24,000,000.
The painting will highlight Christie’s 21st edition of The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale, a key element of the 20/21 Shanghai to London series of auctions, which will take place on 1 March 2022.
La fenêtre ouverte made with a bold colour palette, is a work of striking visual power.
Picasso’s La fenêtre ouverte will be on view in New York from 4 to 8 February 2022 and in Hong Kong from 15 to 17 February 2022 before being exhibited in London from 23 February to 1 March 2022.
