For the art obsessed:
Say it out Cloud sculpture
The collection “Say it out Cloud”, is made of celestial objects whose beauty is rooted in an unexpected interplay between iridescence, reflections and organic forms. Just as clouds are the sky’s thoughts, Irene Cattaneo’s poetic sculptures can carry personal messages or can also be left naked, speechless. These pieces are the manifestation of a process which embraces the boundless colours, shapes and dimensions inherent to the sky. Each piece is unique, comes in a variety of colours, and can be engraved with words of your choice. Thanks to the image created by the clouds, your words can be interpreted as the sky's thoughts, passengers in our mind, that can be moody or happy, light or stormy as the true nature of the clouds. Your chosen words can be typography, bold font or handwritten by the artist. Price €1,300
Crizu’s folded books
Crizu gives old books a second chance: all pages are folded by hand, one by one, with art and patience until an old volume is transformed into a new and marvellous paper sculpture. Old manuals and encyclopaedias are reborn into sophisticated pieces of design. The shape changes, but the book remains intact: it can still be read and scrolled through or, more simply one can admire it’s metamorphosis in an object of art and design. Old, but new. Poetic in it’s simplicity. At the beginning you have the book. The volumes chosen by Crizu have many pages, good quality paper and the binding is stitched: beautiful in form but no longer up to date in contents. Only when a book looses its use, is it ready to be transformed into a sculpture. Perhaps it will no longer be read, but will be undoubtedly admired. The folding is done by hand one page at a time. All done slowly and without interruption, repeating the process thousands of times, watching the paper transform under the fingers: in this process touch is more important than sight. It is an art that requires patience and dedication, a form of meditation where the rhythm of the gestures synchronise with the rhythm of the soul until the metamorphosis is complete. Prices from € 350
Buji’s limited-edition scented candles
Designed in Switzerland as objects of desire and handcrafted in France as ‘objets d’art’, Buji candles blend the sensuality of sculpture with the finesse of jewelry, smoothed by the edge of contemporary design. Carved in the purest white alabaster from Spain, each vessel hosts a soy wax candle that exhales spellbinding scents made with natural ingredients. Created in association with British perfumer Lyn Harris, the candle fragrances capture suspended moments in time, transient journeys in romantic lands told through the spectrum of daydreaming and contemplation. Avant le Jour, bougie classic 1500 g, €650

The Cartiers
Francesca Cartier Brickell is a direct descendant of the Cartier family. Her great-great-great grandfather founded the firm in 1847 and her late grandfather, Jean-Jacques Cartier, was the last of the family to manage a branch of the business. After graduating with a degree in English Literature from Oxford University, Francesca studied French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris before moving on to a career in finance as a financial analyst and later a fund manager (Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland). She has worked in London, New York and Asia but a few years ago took the decision to leave her work in the City to focus on her book. Francesca has spent the last decade tracking down original source material across the world and meeting people connected with the family and its business. It is this extensive independent research, combined with a first-hand knowledge of the family and a huge collection of letters, telegrams and photographs discovered in her grandfather’s cellar, that have enabled her to uncover a uniquely personal story. Price from £13.44
