A rare Collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is heading to auction

Auctions

A discerning collector has entrusted auction house Christie’s with the sale of his exceptional collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Featuring a spectacular offering of 47 lots, the sale entitled “Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Vinous Perfection”, which runs from April 19th to May 3rd, will be held online-only.

12 bottles of Romanée-St-Vivant 1996 courtesy of Christie’s.

Anyone with a penchant for wine will know that DRC wines are hard to come by, as the prestigious winemaker only produces 6,000-8,000 cases per year. It is also the only Domaine in Burgundy to produce wine exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards.

The exceptional collection on offer, which features some of the best vintages of the past four decades,  is pristine in both its condition and provenance according to Christie’s with several lots being offered in their original wooden cases.

A rare opportunity for collectors to get their hands on some of the best wines in the world.

Auction highlights

Of the many highlights, the collection includes 9 bottles of La Tâche 1988, 12 bottles of Romanée-St-Vivant 1996, and a number of highly sought after 6 bottle original wooden cases, including Richebourg 2005.
